Information about the church

The church was founded in 1992 by pastor Sören Johansson. Today the church has an important role in the nearby community.

In the autumn of 1998 the foundation Bollnäs Bibelcenter started an independent private school, Edenskolan.  The school started in Rehngården, a building of ancient lineage, but moved in 2004 to a bigger more suitable building.

Every week Bollnäs Bibelcenter has a service in their building, located in the middle of Bollnäs. Every Tuesday there is a prayer meeting. These can be at a home of one of the church going families, or in the main building. We meet for prayer, fellowship and teaching.

Our mission

The mission God gave us was to feed the people with His word. God wants his children to understand why He created them, what gifts He has given them and what He wants them to do with their lives on this earth.

Jeremiah 31:12-14
12 They will come and shout for joy on the heights of Zion;    they will rejoice in the bounty of the Lord— the grain, the new wine and the olive oil,    the young of the flocks and herds.
They will be like a well-watered garden,    and they will sorrow no more.
13 Then young women will dance and be glad,    young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness;     I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.
14 I will satisfy the priests with abundance,    and my people will be filled with my bounty,” declares the Lord.

These verses form the base of the mission of our church. We are called to teach, feed and train Gods people in his Word. Our church is built around the Word and that is why we also have a vision of starting a bible school in the future.

Edenskolan is an Elementary school that was founded in 1998. We believe we are called to be pioneers in a country known for sending out pioneers and missionaries in the past. The reformatory and long-term efforts to claim and educate the next generation is probably the most important work we do.

Missionary work

Our church supports various missionary works in Sweden and beyond. We support them financially, with hands-on help and prayer. We prioritize the founding and building of new Christian foundations and churches.

To spread the gospel in our own town we use simple and moderns means. We use online marketing and produce media content. We use the internet and email for spreading this content.

To be there for people in need has always been a tradition in the Jewish-Christian culture. By helping the people around us we reflect Gods love and mercy and we take responsibility for our fellow people.

Word of Faith

Word of Faith is a part of the worldwide Christian movement that emphasises the work of the Holy Spirit in our time, combined with a faith that is evangelical and faithful to the bible and a belief in apostolic leadership.
